SHARON JENKINS retired from the government after 38 years of federal service. Sharon was a Senior Executive with the Department of Health & Human Services. In this role Sharon managed and directed all administrative programs including budget and finance, human resources, information technology, procurement, strategic planning and other administrative services in support of the Office of the Secretary.
Prior to joining the Department of Health & Human Services, Sharon was the Deputy Assistant Regional Administrator of the General Services Administration, (GSA) Public Buildings Service. With over 35 years of service with the GSA, she managed the full gamut of program activities in relation to the PBS, National Capital Region, which consisted of over 1,600 employees, and a real estate portfolio of over 86 million square feet of office space. The programs Sharon managed included the acquisition of leasehold interests, the development of leasing policies, contracting for real property including facilities and the procurement of new construction and major and minor renovations, the development of real property acquisition policies, and the management of special programs including safety, environmental, childcare and concessions.
